12/4/21--INT. CORONADO POLICE STATION/ 2ND UNIT--INT. INTERROGATION ROOMS

      Welcome to FLORIDA MAN--SEASON 1---Shooting SATURDAY, DEC. 3RD!!  If you are new with FLORIDA MAN, this blog is where you will find out important information on what kind of costumes you should bring as a Background Actor on the show. 

Just a couple of housekeeping items to begin with......

-Please, be on time.  You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you.  If you are late then the Costume Department does not get as much time to make sure you look great.  

-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character.   After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in.  However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring multiple options with you so that we can make the final choices.  The final choices will be made by the Costume Dept.  Please respect that we have the overview of the day and the show, and do not complain about what we ask you to wear. Solid colors, wide stripes, plaids, and large scale prints are great! Some color is good, as long as it isn't super bright or neon. Please do not include items with narrow stripes, busy patterns, neons, glitter, sequins, expensive or special jewelry, uncomfortable shoes, and clothing with large logos & graphics/ trademarked characters (giant nike symbols, star wars tees, etc). On this particular show, simple logos are okay as long as it is mainly wording/ lettering/ phrases (not large pieces of artwork).

- It is MANDATORY that you read this blog before coming to work EVERY TIME YOU WORK.

MAIN UNIT:

CORONADO POLICE:

Please bring white crew neck t-shirts, black socks and black tactical boots if you have them.

PERPS:
This is a character that has committed a crime... Please bring tanks, t-shirts, ripped jeans, shorts, baggy gym shorts, flip flops and sneakers... dingy and dirty is encouraged. Please bring options!

2ND UNIT:

DETECTIVES:

Please bring lightweight summertime options of business attire.  Dress shirts with ties, slacks and chinos, suits and sport coats as long as they are not heavy winter wool materials.  Women can wear blouses/dress shirts with slacks or very conservative business skirts (no shorter than knee length).  Work suits and lighweight blazers are also good.

Simple dress shoes for all.  Please avoid dressy nighttime heels. Keep it traditional for business wear....flats are also good.

ATTORNEY:

PLEASE BRING SHARP AND POLISHED BUSINESS ATTIRE.....  Men/Women: suits, dress shirts or blouses, skirt suits, ties and conservative dress shoes.  Keep the color palate very serious and simple.  Solid colors with not too much pattern or print.

FBI AGENTS/DEA AGENTS:

Men: Please bring a suit or slacks and dress shirts/button-downs, belts, ties and basic dress shoes. Dark and muted colors are strongly preferred. Stick to solid colors or very subtle patterns. If you do not have a suit or dress slacks...  hit as close to this as possible.. perhaps a pair of pants and boots with a slick dark polo.  NO blue jeans or sneakers please.

 It is summer in Florida!! Please bring casual shorts, jeans, skirts, sundresses, tees, tanks and casual button down shirts. Sandals and casual sneakers. Accessories like hats, sunglasses, purses and beach bags. Colorful and fun clothes are encouraged! You may also bring light layers!
